Jamie has led a completely unremarkable life. His day-to-day activities within the company include being a wingman for his team of agents, ensuring all contracts exchanged by the company are watertight, and, ironically (considering his unremarkable nature), being responsible for the creative content that has made Property Central a household name. As well as being the licensee of Property Central, his other qualifications include being a Stock and Station Agent, Auctioneer, and welder. Jamie’s real estate career spans more than 8,450 days (67,000 hours); however, his motto is “I treat every day as if it’s my first in real estate.” In fact, if you meet Jamie at an open home this weekend, you’ll more than likely hear him say to someone that it’s his first day on the job. “When I started in real estate, I made it my goal to learn as much as I could in the fastest possible manner. 24 years later, and I’m still learning something new every day. I reckon the day I stop learning will be the day I give the game away, because in real estate, the minute you think you know it all, something will come along and smack you in the face like a wet fish in a hurricane.”
If you’ve made it this far through Jamie’s bio, you’re obviously easily entertained; maybe you’re just bored, or possibly someone has sent you this text with the caption “Look at This Goose,” but there’s one thing you would have surely noticed: Jamie doesn’t sell much property. It’s true that even though Jamie stands out in front of open homes every weekend, even though he personally exchanges every contract that comes through the Property Central office, and even though he acts as a sounding board for his agents throughout their negotiations (including over 400 sales last year), Jamie takes no credit for any of the company’s success; that’s not his style. Jamie reckons that a boss who takes credit for his agents sales is either lacking confidence or, even worse, a boss who takes credit for his teams hard work is immersed in murky soup of narcissistic intent!!
