FORRESTERS BEACH Forresters Beach is renowned for it’s soaring rocky cliffs, its remarkable surfing beach and the 130 hectare ‘Wyrrabalong National Park’. Forresters Beach is a fairly quiet and peaceful suburb due to the limited access.
SHOPPING & DINING Forresters Beach has a small selection of shops and restaurants, however neighbouring suburbs offer a large range of shopping and dining. The Bay Village is located within a short drive and offers a range of grocery, retail and general stores. Erina Fair is also close by if a you can’t find what you are looking for.
TRANSPORTATION & EDUCATION Forresters Beach has a regular bus service in the area with train stations around 20 minutes drive away. There are public and private schools located close by in neigbouring suburbs.
FORRESTERS BEACH HISTORY Forresters Beach was originally inhabited by the Darkinjung people. ‘Wyrrabalong’ means ‘headland looking over the sea’ and was adopted by Assistant Surveyor Felton Matthew in 1831. Thirty years later, Robert Forrester purchased 50 acres of land, this is where the name Forresters Beach came from.
